Patricia M. Harkins, M.D.
Board Certified Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician
Dr. Patricia Harkins is a developmental pediatrician who began diagnosis and treatment of children with developmental differences in 1996. She is experienced with the entire range of autism spectrum disorders, attention differences, learning, speech and language differences, genetic disorders, and motor disorders.
Dr. Harkins attended Rice University and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She did graduate work in Biomedical Engineering in a joint program at Harvard and MIT. She attended medical school in San Antonio at UTHSCSA. She trained at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, completing her residency in 1993. She practiced in Pittsburgh, PA for 9 years. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and in the subspecialty of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Harkins has two children with developmental disabilities. She understands the parent side of raising children with special needs. She provides practical advice in addition to medical and educational advice. She knows how difficult it can be for a parent and will do whatever she can to help a child develop to their full potential.
Una Childers, PA-C
Una Childers graduated from UT Health Science Center with a masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. Una joined the Harkins & Associates in 2011. She is married and has one son.
Erika Seller, MA
Erika Seller graduated from St. Mary's University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1995 and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 1998. She focused her career on conducting evaluations for a diverse pediatric population. She has a wide range of experience in assessments, including intellectual, achievement, developmental, and psychological measures.
She joined Harkins & Associates in 2005 as an Assessment Specialist. She helps administer a battery of intelligence, achievement, and neurodevelopmental measures. She is a Certified Irlen Screener, helping to identify symptoms and interventions for Irlen Syndrome, a visual processing form of Dyslexia.
Ms. Seller is married and has two children. One of her children has high functioning autism.
Shannon Jarrell, RN
Shannon attended the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing in San Antonio and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She joined Harkins & Associates in 2004. Shannon is married and has four children and five grandchildren.
Ann obtained a bachelors degree from UTSA in 1987. She has over 15 years experience in office management. She joined Harkins & Associates in 2004. Ann is married and has two daughters.

Jennifer joined Harkins & Associates in 2006. Her responsibilities include new patient coordination, checking patients in and out, handling messages, making appointments, and helping patients with some of the day to day problems related to their childrens' difficulties. She handles all of the billing for the office. She is married and has a two year old son.
